When you’re “eating clean” it feels good, doesn’t it.
Because it seems like it’s the right thing to do.
To eat clean.
And feel clean.
You can feel good about leaving your old-self behind
and even look down on others who aren’t as disciplined as you.
Don’t get me wrong, reducing processed food
and eating whole foods
is actually a good thing.
Only that’s not what clean eating really means, is it?
What is it all about then?
Isn’t it about eating healthy?
And being good?
Partly, yes.
But it’s not really about the food.
It’s not about looking at the nutrients or what the food has to offer our body.
It’s more about the belief that there is good food and bad food
and that the only “valid” food is good food.
Eating clean is a state of mind where we put food into categories,
where foods have meaning other than what is IN them.
But it does feel good.
And it can feel right.
But it often leads to dysfunctional eating.
Because even chocolate has nutrients that are beneficial to us.
So what if you could actually have the freedom to enjoy eating
without compromising the food you love?
So you can be flexible around a wide variation of food choices?
The key to that mindset is to realise:
Foods are just a set of macro and micro nutrients.
They’re either working with you towards your goals, or not.
But they’re neither good or bad.
This is where tracking macros becomes so helpful.
Because you’re tracking your food in alignment with your goals - it changes everything.
You start to treat food as sustenance for your goals, body, & performance.
Nutrition, done right, is not about restriction.
It’s about eating what’s right for you, and your body, and your goals.
Because everyone is different.
Did you know, when clients work with us, 50% of them need more food?
20-30% stay about the same, with different macros?
Only 20% need less food over the long term.
Need help with that?
