There are times when our emotions just keep flooding in and we find it really hard to show up in self-energy.
There’s too much going on in our head that our emotions control our actions.
And in this process, you will feel like your brain seems to be not cooperating with you.
So how should you manage stress?
The very first step to take is to acknowledge that
it is a part of our nervous system,
and it keeps us alive.
Next step is to know how our system works.
Self-awareness is key.
So you’ve got three parts of your brain:
Thinking brain,
Feeling brain,
And Reflex brain.
When we are regulated, these three should be communicating well together.
This allows us to think clearly,
recognise what we’re feeling at the moment,
so that we can take the right action.
But how about when they are not regulated?
When we are stressed, these parts become offline and inaccessible.
One solution?
Very simple.
Journaling.
When we write down our thoughts and feelings, our system cools down and starts to regulate.
It helps to release the tension in our head.
This is exactly the method that I use to keep myself regulated -
to keep my thoughts and feelings in a safe place -
to keep myself focused and take the right actions.
This is exactly the same method I teach my girls in the Sports Model Project.
My girls in SMP are not only transforming their physiques.
I work with @michelle_baty_ , a Neuroscientist, to help my girls develop an unbeatable mindset.
( You can learn it too 🙂 )
So that you will learn how to love and care for ALL of the amazing parts of your system.
So that you can achieve the radical transformation that YOU want for your life.
BUT SMP is not for everyone.
It’s only for the hardest worker in the room
