That part that keeps loudly saying
You’re not good enough.
You’re not trying hard enough.
You are not worthy of this.
The more you ignore it?
The more it demands to be noticed.
How do we overcome it?
That inner critic will never disappear
We have a part like that too.
A part that shows up even when you are doing great…
with your training, career, and life.
It’s persistent and it can sound mean.
Only if we really tune in, that part has helped us navigate our whole life.
That part of us has helped us become successful and push ourselves.
Your inner critic wants to keep you safe & secure.
It doesn’t want you to fail. It wants you to do better.
Only, it doesn’t speak gently.
So how should we deal with our inner critic?
We welcome it and tune in.
We don’t deny it, or react against it.
Maybe the inner critic says
“You’re a failure.”
Because something that is really important to us hasn’t happened yet.
When we slow down a little bit, take a moment to think about the message it actually.
“I haven’t got my training done this week.
My inner critic is really loud.
This is important to me!
What went wrong with my process? How did I run out of time this week”
Ok, I can take steps for this not to happen next week.
“I’m a work in progress:) I may fail but I fail forward and with grace.”
We become powerful shining lights when all of our parts are welcome
and aligned on our quest to become the vision we have for ourselves.
