Why do good habits have the strongest resistance?

It’s one of the biggest questions when it comes to developing self-discipline.

The uncomfortable truth is:
You can’t bank on always feeling good.

You can’t only make progress on the sunny days if you want to hit your goals.

Why?

Because things that give us value demand more from you.

(be it time, energy, effort).

And things you NEED to do don't always feel good.

Muscle grows in resistance. 
You grow against resistance.

So it’s a problem if you just keep chasing the good feeling.

Because you are going to not be willing to sit in uncomfortable spaces where growth happens.

So the practice is, 

Can you show up for yourself when it's difficult?
When it's hard and you don't feel like it?

Because it's those days that you develop discipline. 

And discipline is doing the things that you actually want in life.

I know you’re driven, gritty, resourceful. 

You work the hardest in any room you find yourself in.

And those values of hardwork are essential to success but…
