Let’s look at how @hattieboydle became a world champion -
1. Hattie was an elite level gymnast
2. Then she became a PT at 18
3. She trained clients for a decade while she was training for herself
4. She started competing
5. Then she won some shows
6. Then she became the world champion
And still to this day,
If you asked her what she’s mastering,
She would tell you…
“So many things”.
Because self-mastery isn’t an outcome that you reach.
It’s a practice of learning, growing and changing.
Some of that growth will be pretty.
Some of it will feel really good.
Some of it will be messy and painful.
And really, really hard.
This is how champions are made.
And that’s how self-mastery is gained.
Not through reaching the peak of a mountain
and never having to do any personal development or growth again.
But by committing to a lifetime of work, discovery and growth.
Just like Hattie does.
So how do you know if you’re on the right track?
Here are three questions you can ask yourself -
1. Am I committed to a process?
2. Am I committed to myself?
3. Am I committed to honouring:
-training
-nutrition
-mindfulness;
-and REST;
For the rest of my life?
If the answer is “no” or “not fully”, that’s okay -
