How Things Have Changed!
From My First Bikini Comp In 2011 To My Last Show In 2016.
In 2011 I gave myself 8 weeks to get ready for this show.
I did the "clean eating" thing - no sugar, no dairy, no fruit, no bread with
a cheat meal once a week. I was hit and miss with tracking my food.
I didn't even track my progress. I just started off doing it for fun and because someone I trusted said I should give it a crack.
I did cardio in the morning and upper body/ body part splits
- and I thought I looked amazing at the time. In fact- I did look amazing for that time. I taught myself posing - clearly, I wasn't very good!
I even got told to "put my arms down this isn't bodybuilding" and I walked away with second place.
Two weeks later I went to the nationals.
In that time I gave everything 100%.
I watched youtube videos on the top fitness models posing. I watched them for hrs and practiced till I got it right.
I walked home with 1st place.
Fast Track 5 Years Later
I do less training than I have ever done before, I am the strongest I have ever been in my life and I eat ALL food groups without any guilt.
Thank god, my posing has improved.
Everything has improved.
I Didn't Suddenly Transform, I Progressed.
I learned by trial and error.
I worked with coaches.
I worked on my mindset.
I found a sustainable and enjoyable way to train and eat and I fell more and more in love with my process and the Sport.
I gave myself small wins along the way like strength and performance based goals. Those small wins gave me confidence.
I love being able to look back and see how far I have come.
Keep pushing for greatness.
Love and Light Hattie
