I think people think I only eat broccoli
and spinach and chicken breast
ALL the time.
That my life is just all about
training, training, training
and tracking my meals perfectly every single time.
And that’s 100% NOT true.
Of course –
I also eat french toast!
(No guilt.)
Why would you deprive yourself of the food you like, right?
So here’s my secret:
The reason why I’m able to stay lean and vibrant all year round even while eating the food that others would label as“bad food” is that…
I don’t label food as bad or good.
I don’t limit my food choices.
I incorporate the food that I need (nutrient-dense food)
and the food I enjoy (my favourite food) in my meals.
How?
My #1 principle around nutrition is –
80% whole food, 20% soul food.
You don’t cut out any food groups.
While yes, it is true that we need to eat food that should meet our physique goals…
But nutrition shouldn’t be about restriction…
I used to be in that place,
actually.
But now I have learned that:
Nutrition – is all about balance.
It’s about nourishing both your body and mind.
It’s about nailing your training and nutrition
while still being able to live a life.
But it took me time to acknowledge that.
As a high performer with high standards like you,
finding that balance is not easy.
That is why in SMP,
We teach our girls not only killer techniques and skills around training and nutrition…
We also teach them principles of functional self-compassion and high-performance habits and lifestyle…
So they can’t only achieve elite body composition and elite mindset…
But also learn to maintain it, not just while working with us…
But for life.
